About RPB

In 1977 Peter Bowden and his wife Rose started a small vehicle dismantling company in Pottery Quay Plymouth, since then the company has seen many changes and It has grown from strength to strength.

In the 80's they moved to Cattedown Wharfs, taking on more staff, vehicle dismantling and selling spare vehicle parts. In the late 90s they opened an MOT bay and became one of the biggest names in Plymouth for vehicle dismantling, collection and delivery, taking on a major contract with the local authority.

In 2009 they moved purpose built premises, in Cattedown Wharves including a state of the art MOT bay and workshop.

This truly is a family business.

Sarah Sanson (eldest daughter) runs the recovery side of the business, collecting vehicles for the local authority, accident damaged vehicles etc for the Police and keeps the Local Fire Brigade supplied with vehicles to enable them to hone their skills with cutting equipment that is needed when major vehicle accidents occur.

Emma Bowden (daughter) takes on the responsibility of running the Service reception area,  booking MOTs, services and keeps the workshop booked up.

Ben Bowden (son) is an MOT tester and technician.

Whilst David Sanson (Sarah's Husband) is the workshop manager keeping a watchful eye over things, when he is not MOT testing or servicing vehicles.

Rose and Peter have now taken a slight back step, to allow the family to get on with running the business, although Rose still takes care of the accounts and admin side of things, and Peter can always be found in one department or another to ensure that things are running smoothly.
